Founded in 2020 by British-Nigerian designer Michelle Adepoju, Kíléntár is a luxury womenswear house that bridges West African artisanal heritage with contemporary design. Adepoju, whose background in art and marketing informs her storytelling approach, established the brand following a transformative trip across West Africa. The brand's name derives from the Yoruba phrase "Kí lẹ̀ ń tà?" meaning "What are you selling?"—an invitation to engage with the cultural narratives woven into each garment.
