Founded in 2017 by Central Saint Martins alumni Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault, KNWLS is a London-based label that champions a disruptive and sensual vision of modern femininity. Initially launched as Charlotte Knowles and nurtured by the Fashion East incubator, the brand rebranded to KNWLS in 2021 to reflect its collaborative studio practice. The design is recognized for its deconstructed corsetry, body-conscious silhouettes, and a distinctive use of sheer, layered fabrics, often with an earthy and futuristic color palette.
