Founded in 2014 in New York City by Wharton business school graduates Johannes Quodt and Chris Wichert, Koio was born from a desire to create high-quality, minimalist footwear without the traditional luxury markup. The brand bridges American design with European craftsmanship, producing its signature footwear in Le Marche and Florence, Italy. Koio is best known for its clean, versatile leather sneakers—most notably the Capri—which feature LWG gold-certified Italian leather, ergonomic lasts, and Margom soles.
