Founded in 2009 by husband-and-wife team Valentina and Sébastien Nobile, La Soufflerie is a Paris-based studio dedicated to preserving the dying art of traditional glassblowing. Sébastien, a Swiss-French mold maker, and Valentina, an Italian-American artist, initially launched the project as a non-profit organization to support local artisans. They began by selling hand-blown vases from the back of a bicycle to Parisian florists, and have since expanded into a full range of glassware, terracotta, plaster pieces, and candles. La Soufflerie is celebrated for its mouth-blown, recycled glass creations, crafted entirely without machinery.
