The Lacoste x Comme des Garçons SHIRT collaboration, launched in 2023, represents a fusion of French sportswear heritage and Japanese avant-garde design. The collection centers on deconstructing Lacoste's most iconic silhouettes, including its classic polo shirts, button-downs, and cardigans. Rei Kawakubo's Comme des Garçons SHIRT sub-label applied its signature conceptual approach, introducing asymmetrical cuts, slanted button plackets, and playfully distorted placements of the emblematic crocodile logo.
