Founded by Laura Biagiotti in 1972, the eponymous Roman brand is celebrated for its soft, wearable, and quintessentially feminine style. Originally an archaeology student, Biagiotti joined her mother's dressmaking business before launching her own collection, quickly earning the moniker “Queen of Cashmere” from The New York Times for her pioneering use of the luxurious yarn. The brand’s identity is built on comfortable yet elegant silhouettes, such as its signature “bambola” (doll) dresses, soft-tailored separates, and a signature palette often featuring luminous white. The house is also known for its significant cultural diplomacy; it was the first Italian brand to stage a fashion show in China in 1988 and later in the Kremlin in 1995.
