Founded in 2011 by Ryota Seguchi in Yamanashi, Japan, Loop & Weft is a heritage knitwear brand dedicated to preserving vintage manufacturing techniques. Seguchi, who previously worked in production planning for a Japanese denim brand, established the label to create exceptionally crafted menswear tops that pair perfectly with high-quality jeans. The brand is defined by its use of rare, early-1800s Tompkins knitting machines and traditional loopwheel equipment, which operate at a deliberately slow pace to produce dense, incredibly soft fabrics with unique textures.
