Founded in 2015 in Encinitas, California, Lurking Class by Sketchy Tank originated from the namesake founder’s blog, which curated dark, humorous, and tattoo-inspired artwork. Sketchy Tank, an artist with roots in the coastal surf and skate scenes, translated his crass, macabre illustrations into an apparel line designed to "disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed."
