Founded by the Iranian-American designer, Maryam Nassir Zadeh’s eponymous label grew out of her influential Lower East Side boutique, which opened in 2008. The in-house collection, launched in 2012, translated the store's curated, artful perspective into a full-fledged brand. Drawing inspiration from her international background, vintage photographs, and travel, Zadeh’s designs are deeply personal and reject fleeting trends in favor of a timeless, off-kilter elegance.
