Founded in 2014 by Hiroyuki Yoshikawa, Mastercraft Union is a Japanese luxury apparel brand centered on the concept of “Takumi”—a relentless pursuit of mastery and attention to detail. The brand’s primary focus is its selection of Japanese denim, handcrafted in the renowned textile region of Okayama. Artisans employ traditional techniques, including rope-dyeing and using volcanic pumice for washing, to create unique, durable fabrics. One of its signature innovations is a denim woven with traditional Japanese paper (Washi), which enhances breathability and shape retention.
