Tracing its heritage to Belgian watchmaker Maurice Barouh in the 1940s, the MICHELE brand as it is known today was founded in 1995 by his son, Jack Barouh. Initially a success with a line of colorful children's watches, the company relocated to Miami and shifted its focus to the women's luxury market in 2000, with Jack's daughter, Michele, joining as creative director.
