After acquiring the original presses and specialized machinery from the factory that first produced the iconic Eames shell chairs in the 1950s, Modernica has continued to produce the chairs using the same heritage techniques.\n\nEach piece of furniture is handcrafted in their Los Angeles facility, which houses extensive wood, upholstery, and composites shops. The brand is celebrated for its commitment to heirloom-quality and architecturally inspired designs, from its Case Study daybeds and storage units to its signature fiberglass chairs. Modernica has also become a hub for creative partnerships, frequently collaborating with streetwear brands like BAPE and KITH, artists such as Futura, and companies like Girl Skateboards, embedding its classic designs within contemporary street and art culture.
