MONFRÈRE, French for “my brother,” was founded in 2016 by brothers-in-law Sean Rudes and Steven Dann. Merging their deep backgrounds in the fashion industry—Rudes at his father's company J Brand and Dann as a luxury retailer—the duo created a denim-centric label based in Los Angeles. The brand’s mission is to offer men a new class of denim that combines the comfort of performance wear with the sophistication of luxury fashion.
