Moreau Paris began with the legacy of Louis Moreau Sr., a master cabinetmaker in 18th-century France who supplied royalty, including Emperor Napoleon. The family business transitioned into luxury travel goods, and in 1882, the Maison as a trunk-maker was established on Paris’s prestigious rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. It was during this era of grand travel that the brand developed its signature pattern, a distinctive monogram inspired by the look of intertwined wicker basketry, which remains a hallmark of its collections. After a period of dormancy in the 20th century, the house was revived in 2011, re-establishing itself as a purveyor of timeless leather goods.
