Founded in 1972 in a small communal village in western France, Moulin Roty began as a cooperative project among friends seeking a more meaningful way of life. The brand initially crafted furniture and jewelry in a ruined mill before finding its true calling with a wood, foam, and fabric toy car in 1975. Today, it operates as a worker-owned cooperative where employees are equal stakeholders, prioritizing ethical production and community over pure profit.
