Nagnata is a luxury fashion and lifestyle brand founded in 2017 by sister-duo Laura May and Hannah Gibbs. Based in Byron Bay, Australia, the brand was born from a desire to merge the worlds of fashion, movement, and sustainability. Laura May, a fashion designer and creative director, conceived of the brand while studying yoga, identifying a need for activewear that moved beyond synthetic fabrics. The brand’s name is derived from the Sanskrit word for ‘nakedness,’ reflecting a philosophy of authenticity and purity that informs its design process and material choices.
