Founded in 2011 by former architect and textile designer Nak Armstrong, his eponymous Austin-based fine jewelry label is celebrated for its wildly experimental approach to metalworking and gemstone setting. Drawing from his background in architecture and fashion, Armstrong developed a proprietary "stone plissé" technique that mimics the undulating movement of ruched fabric, suspending custom-cut stones in metal frames without traditional bezels. This labor-intensive craftsmanship results in highly textural, mosaic-like statement pieces that feel both architectural and weightless.
