Founded in 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, by H. David and Dorothy Dalquist, Nordic Ware began by producing specialty Scandinavian cookware for the local Midwestern market. The brand is best known for inventing the iconic Bundt pan in 1950, a fluted cast-aluminum mold that became a staple of American baking after a prize-winning appearance in the 1966 Pillsbury Bake-Off. Today, Nordic Ware remains a family-owned, multi-generational business that manufactures the vast majority of its products in the United States.
