Founded in 2007 by mother-daughter duo Kim and Dechen Yeshi, Norlha is the Tibetan Plateau’s first luxury yak khullu atelier. Based in Ritoma Village, the brand was established to preserve local nomadic traditions while introducing the exceptional warmth and softness of yak down—known as khullu—to the global luxury market. Dechen Yeshi, a Connecticut College graduate who moved to the plateau to reconnect with her heritage, built the atelier from the ground up, transforming a local resource into a high-end textile that rivals cashmere.
