Paul Smith Black Label was a womenswear collection under the umbrella of the iconic British brand Paul Smith. Founded in Nottingham, England, in 1970, Paul Smith built a global reputation on his idiosyncratic take on traditional British style, famously described as 'classics with a twist'. The main brand began with menswear, only launching a dedicated womenswear line in 1993 after women started buying smaller sizes of the men's collections. The Black Label line was one of several diffusion lines created to cater to different segments of the market.
