Penhaligon's is a British perfumery founded in 1870 by William Henry Penhaligon, a Cornish barber who became Court Perfumer to Queen Victoria. The house’s story began in a barbershop on London’s Jermyn Street, where Penhaligon was inspired by the steam of the neighboring Turkish baths to create his first scent, Hammam Bouquet. This origin established the brand’s signature approach: translating stories, places, and eccentric characters into complex fragrances. Holding multiple Royal Warrants, Penhaligon's has long been associated with British aristocracy, creating the iconic Blenheim Bouquet in 1902 for the Duke of Marlborough.
