Persée Paris was founded in 2017 by Nawal Laoui, a former jewelry and watchmaking professional with experience at Fabergé and Audemars Piguet. Inspired by a trip to Japan where she discovered a unique laser-drilling technique, Laoui built the brand around the signature concept of the “pierced” or “nude” diamond. This innovative method allows diamonds to be suspended on gold chains without a traditional setting, creating a minimalist and modern effect of the stone floating directly on the skin. The brand’s name is a dual reference to the Greek hero Perseus and a play on the word “percé,” the French for “pierced.”
