Founded in 2017 in Berlin by designer and pattern maker Isolde Auguste Richly, Polyploid is a unisex label built on a unique, experimental approach to garment construction. Rooted in the concept that "there are no facts, only interpretations," the brand explores how material changes the perception of a silhouette. Every collection is structured around a tiered system—Categories A, B, and C. Category A strips a design down to its most basic expression, rendering it solely in unbleached white calico, the foundational fabric of traditional tailoring. Categories B and C then reinterpret that exact same pattern using different textiles and colorways, transforming the garment's functionality and emotional resonance.
