Founded in 2016 by Leander Angerer—a former professional mountain biker and Central Saint Martins-trained designer—Racing Atelier is a bespoke design studio based in the Bavarian Alps of Germany. Operating out of a converted carpenter’s workshop in Oberammergau, the brand approaches carry as a form of product art rather than mass manufacturing. Racing Atelier is defined by its signature Rucksack #1, a meticulously handmade backpack that juxtaposes ancient and futuristic materials.
