Rebuild by Needles is a sub-label of the Japanese brand Needles, first introduced in 2012 by founder Keizo Shimizu. As an extension of Shimizu's deep appreciation for American vintage, the line is centered entirely on upcycling. Each piece is a unique creation, deconstructed from mass-produced, pre-owned garments and reconstructed by hand in Japan. This process transforms disparate elements into singular, cohesive designs, celebrating imperfection and individuality. The brand’s most recognizable creation is the 7-Cut Flannel Shirt, where seven different vintage flannel shirts are spliced together to form a new, collaged garment with an intentionally uneven hem and varied textures.
