Founded in 2010 in Antwerp, Belgium, by industrial designer Benoît Mintiens, Ressence has radically reimagined traditional mechanical watchmaking. Approaching horology from an industrial design perspective, Mintiens discarded conventional hands and crowns in favor of a highly legible, fluid display. The brand is defined by its patented Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS), a unique module composed of co-planar rotating discs and rings that orbit around each other to indicate the time.
