Originally a Parisian haute couture house founded by Swiss-born designer Robert Piguet in 1933, the brand is now celebrated exclusively for its revolutionary fragrances. Piguet was a master of refined simplicity, famously mentoring Christian Dior and Hubert de Givenchy. His fashion house closed in 1951, but its spirit endures through its audacious perfumes. In collaboration with visionary perfumer Germaine Cellier, Piguet launched Bandit in 1944, a rebellious leather chypre, followed by the iconic tuberose masterpiece Fracas in 1948. These scents were groundbreaking, establishing a legacy of olfactory drama and sophistication that rejected the commonplace.
