Founded in 1957 by Bermudian yachtsman Anthony J. Gaade, Royall Lyme of Bermuda was born from a desire to bottle the coastal landscape and unhurried pace of his island home. The heritage fragrance house debuted with its namesake Royall Lyme, a cool, zestful cologne crafted from native West Indian limes and a secret Caribbean formula of 78 ingredients. Endorsed early on by Bermuda’s governor and introduced at Brooks Brothers in 1960, the brand quickly established itself as a staple of traditional men's grooming.
