Founded in Malmö, Sweden, by longtime friends Per Fredrikson and Sinan Abi, Séfr evolved from a curated vintage store in 2012 to a full-fledged fashion label by 2016. The name, meaning "zero" in Lebanese Arabic, reflects the brand's approach of starting from a blank slate to create classic pieces in a distinct way. Drawing inspiration from their experience with high-quality second-hand garments from designers like Dries Van Noten and Maison Margiela, the founders developed a design philosophy centered on timelessness, material quality, and subtle details.
