Launched in 2010 by Stephany Sensi, a designer trained at Istituto Marangoni, Sensi Studio was founded to preserve Ecuador’s heritage craft of straw weaving. The brand is celebrated for its genuine Panama hats and hand-woven handbags, which merge traditional, centuries-old artisanal techniques with a modern and fashionable design approach. Each piece is handmade in Ecuador, primarily using Toquilla straw, a locally grown and sustainable natural fiber.
