Founded in 2002 by master jeweler Sevan Bıçakçı in Istanbul, the eponymous brand is celebrated for its extraordinary, museum-quality high jewelry. Bıçakçı, who began his apprenticeship in the Grand Bazaar at age 12, draws deep inspiration from the rich cultural mosaic of his hometown, blending Byzantine, Anatolian, and Ottoman influences into his work. The house is most famous for its signature reverse intaglio technique, where intricate, three-dimensional scenes—ranging from the domes of the Hagia Sophia to mythological figures and natural motifs—are carved directly into the underside of precious gemstones.
