Shiloh Sukkau is an independent architect and designer based in Vancouver, British Columbia, whose eponymous studio bridges applied art, architecture, and functional design. Rooted in her Mennonite ancestry of pacifism and craft, Sukkau’s practice is grounded in a self-taught, DIY ethos that favors analogue processes and hands-on construction. She is widely recognized for her commercial interiors, notably designing several locations for the beloved West Coast restaurant chain Tacofino, where she translates cultural references—from 1950s Mexican resort towns to 1980s Los Angeles punk—into vibrant, accessible spaces.
