Founded in 2020 by Danish designer Sia Arnika Mortensen, the Berlin-based label Sia Arnika is defined by what the brand calls ‘experimental normality.’ Drawing inspiration from her upbringing on a remote Danish island, with its Nordic mysticism and folklore, Mortensen channels a feeling of longing into her work, which is then filtered through Berlin's subversive, cultural edge. The brand’s core design approach rests in the tension between opposing forces: minimalism and maximalism, raw femininity and utilitarian codes, and heritage craft with rebellious modernity. After working at Ottolinger, Mortensen established her own brand to explore this hybrid style.
