Founded in 2019 in Elsinore, Denmark, by restaurateur Rebecca Garde Johansen and designer Vibe Johansson, Sittingsuits was born out of a practical need to keep outdoor diners warm without relying on wasteful gas heaters. Johansen, seeking a sustainable alternative to damp blankets, collaborated with Johansson to create a functional, weather-resistant garment.
