Soeur was founded in Paris in 2008 by sisters Domitille and Angélique Brion, a duo driven by the desire to dress women of all generations. Domitille’s background as a stylist at French childrenswear brands Bonpoint and Bonton, combined with Angélique’s expertise in marketing, informed their initial focus on the adolescent market. They quickly expanded to womenswear, discovering that mothers were drawn to the same timeless, well-made pieces they were buying for their daughters. The brand’s signature is a blend of masculine-inspired tailoring with a distinctly feminine feel, resulting in an androgynous yet elegant look.
