Launched in 2012 by founder Isaac Ross, Solid & Striped began with the mission to create the perfect men's swim trunk after Ross was inspired by a vintage pair he saw in the Hamptons. The New York-based label quickly expanded to include women's swimwear and has since grown into a comprehensive resort lifestyle brand. The brand's core aesthetic is rooted in timeless, effortless, and elegant design, offering minimalist one-piece swimsuits, classic bikinis, and a growing collection of ready-to-wear apparel like knits and dresses, all crafted from globally sourced fabrics. Solid & Striped gained significant traction through social media and collaborations with influential figures like Poppy Delevingne and a 'Swim Team' of 13 supermodels. A major recent development was the Spring 2024 collection designed in collaboration with Sofia Richie Grainge, who served as a guest Artistic Director, introducing a redesigned logo and a refreshed, minimalist sensibility.
