Founded in 1939 by Charles Deméry in Tarascon, France, Souleiado is the definitive guardian of Provençal style, preserving the 17th-century tradition of *Indiennes*—vibrant, intricate cotton prints originally imported from India. While the brand’s manufacturing roots trace back to 1806, it was Deméry who transformed the historic workshop into a global symbol of the French Riviera lifestyle. Revived in 2009 by the Richard family, the house has successfully modernized its heritage without diluting its soul, recently celebrating its cultural relevance with a major residency at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche.
