Swedish footwear brand Spalwart was founded in 2010 by Christoffer Brattin and Fredrik Johansson. The brand’s identity is rooted in a serendipitous discovery: during a visit to Eastern Europe, the founders came across a Slovakian factory with shoe molds and machinery that had been dormant since the 1950s. They revived these authentic tools to create sneakers that are, as they describe them, “sport shoes for the street.” This commitment to a historical production process defines the brand’s character, resulting in footwear with a genuine, non-perfect vintage feel.
