Founded in 2003, Superdry is a British brand that built its identity on a distinctive fusion of vintage Americana, Japanese-inspired graphics, and UK-based design. The brand originated when founder Julian Dunkerton, who had been running the successful Cult Clothing stores since 1985, partnered with designer James Holder. Inspired by a trip to Tokyo, they created a unique casualwear aesthetic that quickly gained international appeal, with signature items including graphic t-shirts, hoodies, and heavily detailed outerwear like the Windcheater jacket.
