Launched in 2020 by Erica Choi, a New York-licensed esthetician and former digital design VP at Barneys New York, Superegg is a vegan skincare brand born from a modern interpretation of traditional Korean beauty philosophies. Inspired by Choi’s heritage, where different parts of the egg were used in beauty rituals for generations, the brand reimagines this concept without animal products. Superegg’s core innovation lies in its proprietary vegan “egg” technology, which uses clinically-proven botanicals and advanced science to formulate plant-based complexes that mirror the nutritional value of the egg white, yolk, and shell membrane.
