Founded in 2021 by Nigora Tokhtabayeva, Tabayer is a fine jewelry house rooted in concepts of protection and empowerment. With a design philosophy inspired by modernist sculpture, the brand translates ancient symbols into contemporary, minimalist forms. Tokhtabayeva, who grew up in Central Asia with an architect father and fashion designer mother, brings a global perspective to her work, influenced by American artists like Isamu Noguchi and the spiritual power of amulets from her childhood. The debut collection, Oera, reinterprets the ancient Mesopotamian symbol of Inanna's Knot into a signature looping silhouette, creating a tactile and sensually rounded form.
