Founded in 2017 by Sayori Tanaka, the New York-based brand TANAKA offers clothing designed to connect “the past 100 years with the next 100 years.” With a background that includes designing for Yohji Yamamoto and UNIQLO, Tanaka brings a unique perspective shaped by her father, a kimono textile designer, and her grandfather, a landscape gardener.
