Founded in Florence, Italy, in 1986 by American designer Temple St. Clair Carr, the brand is renowned for its blend of classical Italian craftsmanship with a modern, storytelling aesthetic. Carr's journey began after she was tasked with setting an ancient coin into a necklace, which introduced her to the master artisans of the centuries-old Florentine goldsmiths' guild. This experience became the foundation of the brand, which is celebrated for its use of 18k gold, rare colored gemstones, and intricate techniques.
