Founded in 2019 by Alicia Yates and Gary Smith in New York, Thank You Have A Good Day is a sustainable fashion label born out of a deep appreciation for heritage textiles. Yates, a former luxury retail manager, and Smith, an artist and art director, combined their expertise to create a brand rooted in upcycling and artisanal craft. The brand operates out of a Tribeca atelier, where each piece is meticulously handcrafted from salvaged materials, including antique blankets, Belgian lace, French cotton bed linens, and deadstock fabrics.
