Founded in 2009 by Canadian husband-and-wife duo Carly and Jesse Burnett, Tkees began with a simple mission: to create the perfect, barely-there flip-flop. Inspired during a trip to St. Barths, Carly envisioned a sandal so minimal it would feel like walking barefoot, coining the original tagline "cosmetics for your feet." The first collection, the Lily, launched in a range of nude leather shades to blend seamlessly with different skin tones, establishing the brand’s understated and essentialist design.
