Founded in 1988 by Thomas "Tom" Hoffmann and Arno Müller in Germany, Tom's Drag (officially Tom's Company) emerged from a desire to inject optimism and vibrant color into everyday life. Following the events of September 11, 2001, Hoffmann began hand-painting eccentric, brightly colored figures as gifts for friends—a creative impulse that quickly evolved into the brand's signature aesthetic. Today, the brand is celebrated for its whimsical, pop-art-inspired home decor, which blends European, African, and Asian ornamental influences into a distinct visual language.
