Founded in 1975 in San Diego, California by Dave Dominy, Larry Balma, and Gary Dodds, Tracker Trucks is a foundational name in skateboarding history. Born out of a need for wider, more stable trucks to accommodate the new urethane wheels of the era, the founders—a carpenter, a machinist, and a mold-maker—developed the Tracker Fultrack. This design revolutionized the industry by introducing the four-hole mounting pattern, fixed kingpin, and aircraft-grade locknuts, effectively rendering narrow roller skate trucks obsolete.
