Founded in 2004 in Okayama, Japan, by Kosuke Harada and Sayoko Noritake, TUKI is a specialized label dedicated almost entirely to bottoms. Harada, who majored in American literature, and Noritake approach their craft with a distinct pragmatism. Rejecting the romanticized marketing of "heritage" or "handmade" Japanese denim, TUKI embraces the consistency of factory mass production to create its highly structural, purpose-driven garments.
