Founded in 2010 by Kalen Kaminski, a former set designer and prop stylist, Upstate (recently rebranded as Gone) emerged from a New York City apartment as a passion project focused on hand-dyed textiles. Kaminski’s background in visual storytelling directly informs the brand’s vibrant, color-driven aesthetic and experimental approach to traditional dye techniques.
