Vaquera was founded in 2013 by Patric DiCaprio, who was later joined by co-creative director Bryn Taubensee. Operating out of New York, the brand describes its work as “fashion fan fiction,” a method of reinterpreting and challenging luxury fashion codes. Vaquera is known for its dadaist, DIY-inspired sensibility, creating collections that play with American tropes, pop culture references, and exaggerated silhouettes. The designs are often conceptual and theatrical, featuring oversized garments, deconstructed elements, and a gender-fluid approach to dressing.
